Light and quiet: oral care

My previous toothbrush was the Sonicare Elite. I got it as a gift about 8 years ago and it has no problem. It's also very convenient to buy replacement brush heads from Costco. I received the Variosonic at a dentist appointment about eight months ago and was skeptical that something as light and quiet could work as well as my Sonicare, but my dentist and hygienist once again called me a "boring patient" at my last check-up. Variosonic is quiet and easy to use. There are several settings, but I only use the first setting. The regular brush head works for me and I like that it's a little rounder than the Elite head. I feel like I'm being brushed thoroughly, but I have to start all over again after the first two minutes so I can brush my tongue and palate as well. (I did this with the Sonicare too.) I tried to reuse my Sonicare and found it heavy, bulky and noisy compared to the Variosonic. I particularly like that I can go weeks without a charge and the charger doesn't have to take up space on the bathroom counter until I need it, despite being a fairly compact charger that charges fully overnight. Obviously its durability can only be judged over time, but I hope so. However, I would like the brush heads to come with matching caps so you can tell your brush apart from another family member's brush. But these are side issues when I think about my dental health. I find it pleasant to use Variosonic.
