Review on Laptop Cooling Computer Cooler Portable by Kyam Deriphonse

Revainrating 1 out of 5

It *stops* working, but *and* doesn't lower my laptop's temperature. *updated on 02/17/2020*

The product works. You plug it in, turn it on, and the fans spin. The problem is that most of the air that the fans are pushing doesn't flow through my laptop's vents. Most of the air comes out from under the laptop around the perimeter. At best, this product gives my Acer Nitro 5 about 1 degree of extra cooling under heavy load, and I suspect that's because the laptop just lifts off the table, not with fans. For light use, such as For example, when surfing the web, my built-in fans don't turn on that often, but I could be wrong. The fans in my laptop move MUCH more air than this product. * UPDATE February 17, 2020 * Individual fans have stopped working for the past few months. Sometimes, if I press properly, a fan or two will turn on, but usually it doesn't. Now only the bottom two smallest fans work and they don't even blow air into my laptop's vents. This product has gone from almost useless to completely useless. Worse, I thought maybe I could at least salvage the cushion structure by pulling out the crappy fans and putting in some high quality fans that actually move air. But as such, the standard fans are built into the panel and there is no good or easy way to remove and replace them, making this product a waste of money. I have only 2 advantages from this product: 1. It allows me to prop my laptop at different angles which makes typing and gaming more comfortable.2. Some of the airflow generated by the fans exits under the front of the laptop, providing a nice cool breeze on my wrists. a cooling compartment around the perimeter of the laptop to allow all air moved by the fans to flow through the laptop vents. One day I might be bored enough to try it to see if it makes a difference.
