This aftermarket toner for laser printers already has a chip built in and my Canon printer works right out of the box. There is no need to use a cutter knife to remove the OEM printer toner and transfer it to aftermarket toner like some other brands. The quality is excellent! I see no difference at all. Laser sharpness as usual! I am using a Canon imageCLASS MF644Cdw on my laser printer. Also a really high capacity 054T. I've been using it for 3 months now, made 256 prints, half of them black and white, color is still 100% and black is 90%. Not bad for a family of 5 with 3 school aged children.
