Economical Rearview Mirror - Fixing Screws Won't Tighten

Traditionally, a screw cannot be tightened with just a wrench. If you try to tighten the bolt without holding the nut, the nut will spin in circles. Well, this rearview mirror has screws. Part of the screw is behind a glass mirror that cannot be reached with a wrench or even your fingers. The designers made half of the locking bar square. Supposedly this is so that when the bolt is inserted into a square hole, the bolt does not spin freely. The problem is that the square hole is so big that the bolt still spins freely. Therefore, the screws can never be tightened. Even glass mirrors sometimes fell out of the black plastic frame. Mirrors slide out too easily. The instructions state that you can either (1) attach the mirror to your car's windshield (2) or screw it to your car's roof. It turns out that one of the options requires the purchase of a separate additional kit, thereby doubling the price of the mirror. What a scam. The biggest problem is that the square bolts turn in the square holes because the holes are too big.
