Review on Century Sideboard Adjustable Freestanding Cupboard by Obhed Leblanc

I took a chance ordering this item with no reviews and I'm glad I did! In general, the craft looks very beautiful. Yes, it's chipboard, but the quality of the veneer is pretty convincing. Here are my thoughts: Pros: 1. Durable: I was concerned it would be a huge risk for something this narrow, but it sits very firmly on our hardwood floor. Chipboard is pleasant to the touch and durable. I haven't had any cracking issues even with all the screws tightened. Feels like it's going to take a long time.2. Looks great: for industrial wood, it has a very pleasing look. The veneer looks and feels high quality.3. Price: Nothing I looked at came close. I think I bought it for about $115 which was a steal. Good storage space: holds quite a bit of stuff as you can see in my sample photo. Great for my art studio! Cons: 1. Fake boxes: I wasn't aware of this when I bought it, and this is where it lost a star. The two "drawers" on the bottom left are actually small fabric fold-out drawers, each with a thin veneer panel on the front to which you can screw a handle. See my photo for an example of what I mean. They look very cheap and don't stand up to regular use. Luckily these areas can be used as shelves without these drawers, but I was very disappointed with that. I would have preferred if they were simple hinged doors like the top right corner of the unit. 2. Arrived damaged: I didn't deduct a star for this as I'm pretty sure it was due to the delivery (the delivery person threw it on the floor ma'am). Luckily only the bottom right corner was torn, but I hate that it's so obvious. You'll have to try to fix it with paints to make it less noticeable, but there's no way to restore the missing veneer. All in all a very solid purchase that I am happy with. Fits perfectly in the small space of my art studio and has room for a variety of accessories.
