A month later I still wake up every morning looking forward to my Gaggia coffee! So glad I bought it. 3 properties are of great importance: 1) excellent beverage quality, high stability. A cappucino that is the best I've ever had. 2) Ease of use. Friendly menu, low maintenance machine. A far cry from my old wand machine. Once a day, it takes a few seconds to empty the water bowl and fill the tank. Easily customize menus and drinks 3) Hot drinks. The mug does not need to be preheated. In fact, after getting a couple of double wall glass mugs (I love them), I changed the menu's default temperature to medium. Concerns: This isn't an ideal choice if your partner is demanding and prefers distinctly different beans. Only 1 bunker is available. First Time Installation: The guide is fair at best. This may help: 1) Pour some tap water into a glass. Dip the provided test strip into the jar. Wait, then compare with the table in the instructions. Now you know how hard your water is. Open packaging with white filter. Set the recommended value. Then immerse the filter in a glass of water and shake it a little to fill it up. Now slide it into the water tank. Ready. 2) Before loading the grain, check the grind setting in the hopper. This white hexagon shape allows you to change the grind size. Use the end of the included measuring cup to change the setting. Push down to release it from the latch. See the white arrow under the cap? This is your attitude. When the beans are in the hopper, never change the setting when it is off. Must be executed.3) Beans, beans, beans. I tested 3 varieties. They are of great importance for the taste. Illy Intenso, Starbucks French, Lavazza Super Crema. Starbucks tastes (sour?), Lavazza wheat flavor, or quite greasy. I prefer Illy, but the 2:1 mix of Starbucks and Lavazza is pretty good.
