Review on Firstgear Thermo One Piece Suit Large by Shane Jess

Revainrating 5 out of 5

BEAUTIFUL, SIMPLY GREAT!

I love when people write detailed descriptions, especially about products that cost decent money, so I'll do my best to give you what I have. I live in Birmingham, Alabama and have had the suit for about a month. I've ridden in this suit in temperatures between 20 and 55 degrees and had no problems. It can be a bit unwieldy when walking, but when you're on the bike in the riding position, everything is where it's supposed to be. I know many other people have given relevant information and so have I. I'm 5ft 10" and about 155. I ordered the large which may seem quite large walking like I said but great if you ride a bike. I'm not sure how much smaller the medium would be, but I might see one and if it's too small I'll let my wife use it, which would be perfect. If I were you, I would wear a fleece neck warmer. I also use a nylon/poly balaclava with thermal socks and waterproof padded boots that I got from Walmart for $37.99. The boots are amazing. I've been riding in the rain in this suit and boots for the past week and not a single drop of water has gotten onto my clothes underneath. I was skeptical about this costume reading the reviews but I'll tell you how others are. It's AWESOME and I'm looking for nothing other than heated gloves for my cold weather rides. maybe heated socks in the future. But like I said at 20 degrees it's amazing. The only problem I have are the hands. At this point I have already ordered heated gloves. I work in the city center and have parking right in front of my house. This saves me a lot of money on parking every year when I drive all year round. Hopefully I have given you enough adequate information for anyone dealing with this suit.

Pros
  • Solid finish
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
