Review on ๐ŸŽง ZERO AUDIO Carbo Tenore ZH-DX200-CT Ear Stereo Headphone by Diamond Lee

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very important! Well rounded headphones with no major flaws at this price point!

Great headphones for the price! Soundproofing is very good, comfort is good, frequency response and range are very good, detail and clarity are excellent in this price range. The carbon fiber looks great and the headphones are very small. I think these are the best headphones under $50 and at least very competitive in the sub $100 range. There are no serious flaws. I prefer the more artificial form of the IEM, but that's unusual under $100 (the entry-level Mee Audio are the only ones I know of in this price range, I think). The main downside is that I wish they had a built in mic at this price point. Because honestly, I'm willing to bet that at least 95% of them are used with smartphones. Even a mediocre microphone wouldn't hurt. It's a matter of preference, though, and they might have had to cut corners elsewhere, which would negate the incredible value for money that is the key feature of these headphones. Another savings is that they only come with a padded case rather than a more protective case. But, uh, I'd still buy them again as fantastic beater headphones. The Verge did a review stating that these headphones could compete with headphones ten times more expensive, which inspired me to buy them. Although they are of great value, 10 times more is a lie. My Mee Audio Px (Massdrop version P1) (~$130/$200) which I bought around the same time are also great all round headphones. But they are slightly better in every way. They have a nicer shape and come with a hard case. The sound quality is better on the P1, I like the fit and shape more, it comes with 2 cables (one with a mic) and uses a mmcx connector. (The latter is just huge.) So no, these Zero Audio headphones aren't $350, but they're the best headphones I've ever bought.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Low repairability
