Review on Dickinsons Original Witch Hazel Perfecting by Denise Davis

It's not too drying

I've heard a lot of bad reviews about witch hazel being very dry on the skin. If you google witch hazel what seems to come first or negative comments. I've been using witch hazel since I was a teenager and it has never dried out my skin. However, I can use it differently than others. I wet my washcloths with hot water, put some on a cloth and rub it on my skin. I find it dilutes it to a degree, and maybe that's why it doesn't dry out too much. My skin always feels very tingly, clean and fresh after use. I use it in the morning after getting up and only once a day. I don't use witch hazel to remove makeup. I only use it in the morning to cleanse my skin before applying makeup. I don't think witch hazel is the right makeup remover. Most makeup should be cleaned with soap or oil. I remove my makeup with bar soap. I removed the almond oil mascara because it is waterproof. I don't use witch hazel for acne. I only use it in the morning as a cleansing water. I believe that if you have reasonable expectations of what it can do for you, you will be much happier. This is the only brand of witch hazel I have purchased as I believe it is the highest quality available for the price. I have been using this brand for a long time and am loyal to it.
