It was absolutely pain free! Installation takes 5 minutes. (I have a 2017 F250 Lariat). Here is the step-by-step guide! 1) Locate and disconnect the OBD2 cable behind the connector. 2) Plug in one side of the included wiring harness and plug the other side back into the OBD2 connector. (Follow the lighting scheme according to your car's instructions in the manual.) Mine took about 5 seconds. 4) Turn off the key and connect another plug. 5) Close the door and try to start. mine takes about 5-8 seconds after the last key press and that's it. starts right away! Finding a place to attach the box and cable takes longer than the installation. Haha
