There really isn't much to complain about. I bought five tools that work well and fit in a nice carry case, all for the price of a 12 inch sandwich and a soft drink. They cost so little that I keep looking for things that can go wrong. But despite all the bad reviews (and not just this one, but the entire world of stainless steel aquascaping tools) I haven't had a hint of rust after three weeks of regular use. The secret can be as simple as following the directions and wiping them dry after each use. Would I be willing to pay more? That's a good question. To be perfectly honest, probably not. I have been involved with aquariums my entire life and there are very few situations where not getting wet hands is absolutely necessary. However, if special, very long scissors work just as well as the ones you use to open cereal boxes in the kitchen, why not use them? Same goes for tweezers (good for removing things - not so good that they'll ever replace your own fingers entirely, IMHO). To be clear, they are not surgical steel. But who pays the price of surgical steel for scissors?
