SUPER HEALTHY DOG FOOD AT A GOOD PRICE!

UPDATE: 12/31/13 I am pleased to announce that on 12/4/13 I have ordered 3 packs of groceries and the food is (finally!). Thank you CSDLS for listening to us and fixing this issue! I can feed this food to my dogs again knowing it is the quality food it has always been. I will continue to monitor the food and let other Revanes know if there are any problems. Everything is fine at the moment. Seller Note: Please keep this food handy so that I and others can continue to buy it for our dogs! I appreciate your cheap price 24 for about 27.00! Thank you! Happy New Year! UPDATE 12/4/13. I'm posting the response I received from Chicken Soup's vet Jeremy Tarlow regarding the REVIEWED PRODUCTS PROBLEM. Sorry I tried a lot and didn't post earlier. Judging by recent reviews, it looks like this is still an issue. Some of our purchases were firmer, some more watery, but none of them were as firm as they used to be before all this. I'm going to order a box today, and if I get soggy food I'll write "Chicken Soup" again. Apparently the hardware issue should be resolved by now. ANSWER TO CHICKEN SOUP: Cathy: Thank you for sharing your recent experience of feeding chicken soup to an animal lover's soul. Last fall we changed the factories/co-producers that made our canned food. During this change, consumers noticed changes in the consistency (wateriness) of our canned food. By working with quality control we were able to change the recipe to improve this. This change was implemented in late January 2013, so products manufactured after that date (with an expiration date of February 2, 2015 or later) should no longer experience this issue. In addition, the new plant had an intermittent problem with water used to rinse the production line between batches leaching into the product made at the end of cycles. The factory recently switched from a flush system to a wipe system to solve this problem. I hope you continue to use our product, knowing that we listen to our customers' concerns and are making the necessary adjustments. to maintain the quality of our product. Best regards, Jeremy Tarlow, DVMUPDATE 6/16/13 CHANGE IN CONSISTENCY, VERY SMOOTH - I've also noticed a noticeable change in consistency. The food is rather soupy. My dogs don't seem to mind at all, but I wonder why. I will email or call the company. My toy poodles are getting older and some are losing their teeth so I have to buy canned dog food to supplement their bil-jac. They really liked the Happy Hips and Canidae dog food and they are great, but I was looking for something that was just as good for them but also a bit cheaper as I have so many poodles. 11 of them! Good thing they are well educated and educated! A box of 24 cans "CS For The DLS" is the price of most other brands of 12 can boxes. The ingredients are top notch too. [.] One of my youngest, Baby Doll, gets so excited and squeaks loudly once when we undo the top flap and then dances on her back on two legs. It is so sweet! I also like that these jars have a flip top lid so I don't have to use a can opener. I know, the embodiment of laziness! However, this is a nice feature. Dogs weighing 4-5 pounds get basically all canned food now since their teeth are sooo small. This canned dog food is specifically formulated for seniors, but reading the ingredients I can only assume that it is suitable for all ages. doesn't have much watery sap to take up space but has a softer/harder shape. My larger dogs, up to 12 pounds, are mostly fed Beel Jack mixed with canned food. I mix about half a can with some water into their Bil-Jac kibble and they graze and eat it whenever they feel like it. That keeps her in shape. They tend not to overeat knowing that food is always available. I have always fed my dogs this way and it has always worked. I will add glucosamine for her hips as some people have hip problems as they age. It's easy, just google the right dosage for them, then crush and add the pills. Since I have so many dogs, I mix (hide) all the medications in a teaspoon of canned food and give them individually. I would also like to say that small dogs and/or dogs with dental problems have difficulty chewing hard chunks. When this happens, they just stop eating, except in emergencies, damaging their health with toothache. Bil-Jac is the only kibble I've found that has tiny pieces that crumble easily. There are also aspirin formulas for dogs that can be added to canned food to relieve pain. Do not use unbuffered dog aspirin as it is bad for their stomach. I also add dr. Katz's Water Supplement to prevent and treat tooth and gum problems. My dogs are treated with an ounce of antibiotics a month for the first 10 days of the month to prevent infection from gum disease. You also have allergies. I have used Benedryl (as recommended by the vet) but after researching Zyrtec (generic form) for dogs I use it and it works wonders for their allergies. All the things I give my dogs are available at Revain at a fraction of the drugstore price. Please if you are using Benedryl, Zyrtec or any other medication on your dog and cannot afford to see the vet, study it carefully before doing so and be sure to carefully reduce the dosage in order not to cause harm, or even kill, your pet. Self-treating a dog is a very serious undertaking, but it can be of tremendous benefit to your pet if you know what you are doing, so research, research, research before you do it! You may be wondering why I don't take my medication. Dogs to the vet for teeth cleaning. Well, there are several reasons; a price of course, but the most important thing is that I don't want my babies to be drugged once a year as it is dangerous, hard on their heart and can cause other problems and even death. I just make sure that they are as pain-free as possible and as comfortable as possible in old age. I'm sorry, I got a bit lost! In any case, I can only recommend this dog food. I am thankful that the price is so cheap that I can afford to feed my dogs this good food. Blessing!
