These are great shorts for lounging or running errands. My son is 6'4" and the large hits just above the knee. Size up too, they run small. The fabric is soft and light weight. As I read in numerous other reviews, unfortunately it's true, one of the zippers on the pockets broke the first time he used it. I was going to send them back but considering the price, we're keeping them. Funny thing, he hangs with guys that never speak of fashion. The first time he wore them, three friends asked him to send the link so they could buy them too!
