My 7 year old son and I spent a few hours playing with these shrink wraps. He liked to draw all the animals and I drew the flowers. He was amazed at how they shrank in the oven and enjoyed watching them curl and then straighten into a smaller but thicker shape. After several successful shrink jobs, he got creative and used markers (instead of the included pens) to color in the figures. He also wrote short messages. So far we have played twice with this kit for several hours each time. There is a lot of shrink material included in the kit, so we still have the opportunity to play with it again. My son was only interested in coloring and shrinking. He didn't do any decorations. I threaded shrink cord on the thread that came with it and it seemed pretty flimsy to me. I quickly abandoned the project as I didn't know anyone who wore jewelry, even though they looked amazing. All in all, this is a fun project for your little ones. After purchasing this kit, I bought a regular sheet of shrink paper. We loved the pre-made designs this set offered, but we also wanted to make our own creations. You cannot create your own design with this kit (although you can create your own color schemes).
