This dehydrated chicken product is the best I've ever eaten. I am alternating this with Cat-Man-Doo Life Essentials Dehydrated Salmon as a wet food supplement for my very picky cats. I don't mind powders as they like a mix of very small pieces and powder. I think this product has better texture than its competitors because it is cooked (baked) while most of their competitors freeze raw chicken. I had to switch to Pure Bites because their chicken pieces were mostly greasy or too hard (they used to be almost perfect). However, this product has one glaring problem: very sharp parts. If you break the pieces, you'll find that some of them have a core that looks almost like a sharp broken bone. In fact, they may be pieces of bone. Hard to say. You must remove these pieces before serving as they can injure your pet's esophagus or intestines. They grind to perfection in my NinjaChef blender so I keep them in a separate bag and when I run out I mix them in with the rest of the good product to make it safe and not go to waste. You can also find some of these pieces in powder form. So be careful and diligent. I hope the company reads this so they can fix it! You can expect legal action if the pet is seriously injured.
