I didn't necessarily buy them for muesli. They're definitely great for muesli. I have a small problem: you really have to pay attention to which direction the lid is moving. It is not interchangeable. The front goes forward. Tried to put it on wrong side by mistake, doesn't work. Very nice containers. Definitely airtight. I had to open the cereal door in the freezer (use it on camping trips to carry fragile items and hot dogs) so the food freezes faster. You are doing a great job. I plan to use them for cereal after the hike. This will definitely keep the kids away from stale cereal!
