My kid always liked these things at the pediatrician so I thought it would be great to have one at home. Having had some experience with portable fountains and other water decor, I knew ahead of time that I wanted to use distilled water so the inside of the pipe wouldn't deteriorate over time. Even with distilled water, it's a good idea to add some chlorine bleach once or twice a year. Set up was pretty easy and I was glad there were no leaks. The pump is fairly quiet, although I found the only color that worked for me was blue. It's not the worst in the world as I would have left it on blue anyway, but it was a little disappointing.
