I thought I misdiagnosed the problem so I checked everything so I bought another one to make sure I was right but it didn't work so I checked everything again so I know I have 2 had faulty relays (first rattled, second relay broke apart when i tapped it) I went to the auto parts store, got the universal flasher relay, cut the wire harness off the relay and plugged it in, now the signals work fine.
