This product has the fine kibble I've been looking for in a litter box. Marking is much less than other silicone fillers and your feet won't hurt when you step on the sand. If you keep the bowl at least 3 inches or more full, the litter will not harden and will stick to the bottom of the bowl. It is very difficult to get wet litter off the bottom of the box. If you fill in too much, you can just pick it up and keep the box clean. I clean the box 2 times a day for 2 cats. I don't know how you can scoop just once a week and still not leave a nasty mess in the box. Granules retain moisture and odor better than clay or "natural" fillers. You must empty and refill the box at least once a month.
