I bought it again but the second set was under par

I "read" audio books. Worked well for switching from book to phone calls so I bought another set. The second set is a disaster. The charger gets very hot. In most cases, the backlight inside the case does not work. A headphone does not light up. Doesn't always connect or stay connected. As I am at risk for COVID-19 I have no plans to return them but bottom line: the first set is great. The second sentence is terrible.
