Not the best option but limited choice for this size

We bought "The Dog's Bed" and "Pet Fusion" in size XXL to compare them. Both have their pros and cons and I will share them with you here. As you can see from the photos, you get a lot more bed for your money with the Pet Fusion bed. It's a lot thicker, a lot denser, a lot heavier, and a lot better made from better, stronger materials. This is the best bed in almost every way, but there are a few things that were so important to us that we ended up returning it. The material, although it should be more durable, is very noisy when the dog moves over it. We had this next to the bed and had to put it in the living room because of the noise it made when moving at night. It was even with a blanket over it. Aside from being noisy, the material also didn't feel as soft or comfortable as the plush "Dog Bed" material. The other big issue was that the bolsters were so high and narrow (great quality) that our Great Dane couldn't fully stretch out on the bed. He always had to curl up a little or stretch his front or back legs through the hole in the front of the bed, but he was never able to lie down fully. They list dimensions for the Pet Fusion, but the casters take up that space, so there's an inch or two less stacking space on each side. Our Dane is smaller than a male so I think this issue will be the same for giant breed owners when their dogs are larger. For smaller, fatter dogs, this isn't a problem, but if your dog has long legs and likes to spread out, the Pet Fusion's tall pads make this very difficult as they basically lock the dog in. Dog bed is just bigger because it covers more area and I think with not so high pads it works like a better pillow without twisting the neck too much. That being said, "dog bed" is probably the best choice if your dog is large. If your dog is strong but doesn't have very long legs, the Pet Fusion bed offers much more foam density and support. Hope that helps!

Pros
  • A smart preventive measure for young dog breeds prone to joint disease to keep your dog's joints moving into old age, improve quality of life and keep your dog healthy and active longer
Cons
  • I really don't like it, everything is fine
