I tried very hard to like this watch.

Well, I had a Samsung Active 2 smartwatch before, I really never used many of the smart features and I've always liked the classic watch. I found this one, I liked the look and thought it had features I would probably use every day. When I got it I thought it looked great. A very sporty watch reminiscent of a diving watch. Trying to set it up was a little tricky, especially since it doesn't come with instructions. All settings are made online and it's not very intuitive. Scrolling through the options on the watch face was difficult and there was nowhere to really teach you anything other than finally finding a YouTube video explaining how to use the watch. After everything was ready and set up, I was ready to give it a try! The screen is not in color and the messages displayed are very small and I had trouble reading them. You get notifications for messages and calls, and I had no trouble getting them either. My biggest issue, which ended up being a deal breaker, was the fitness features, or lack thereof. It records your steps, heart rate and distance to the waypoint. I ran a bit and loved the feedback on my Samsung (pace, distance, heart rate while running, etc.). You won't get it on this watch. I tried downloading a few apps onto my phone to see if I could make up for the lack of information, but I tried pulling out my phone and reading my stats while I ran. Not good! I would add that the battery life is excellent compared to most other smartwatches. Mine lasted at least 5 days on a single charge compared to a day or two on the Samsung. Of course, this is because the watch does a lot less processing with a much simpler screen that doesn't drain the battery very quickly. Particularities. If you're a runner or fitness enthusiast and want to track your progress on the watch while you exercise, this watch isn't for you (going back to Samsung but buying a Galaxy 3 this time). If you're looking for a watch with step tracking, heart rate, and message/call notifications, this was a nice watch that fits the bill perfectly.
