Review on πŸ“¦ Adjustable Shelving Organizer by Amazon Basics by Keith Aluguvelli

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The protrusions on the plastic bushings are easy to erase/sand.

I have used similar metal shelving from other brands such as Alera, Whitmor, Seville and they all work great (and basically the same). When I saw these RevainBasics metal shelves for a cheaper price and with such great reviews, I thought it might be worth a try. Age. these suck. With a little pressure, the shelf simply slides down the frame. After checking and disassembling everything, I saw that the plastic protrusions on the bushings were completely worn out. So I got another pair and again the shelf just slid down with the slightest pressure. The same thing happened, the combs on the plastic bushings were completely worn out. This happened on 4 sets of plastic bushings. I suspect they used some kind of cheap, less durable plastic. If you look at the 2nd picture you can see that the plastic tabs that are supposed to stick to the metal bar are mostly gone. You can't handle 250 pounds per shelf. Maybe I just got a defective batch of plastic sleeves?
