This should be for children but the chain is quite long. The idea is very cute, but the word "friends" is upside down. Simple quality control. If I didn't need it for my child's friends birthday I would definitely return it. My daughter wanted to keep it for herself and give it away. I think you're better off going to Walmart or Claire's at your local mall and buying something from either of those places.
