Don't track pH. Yes, this product will lower the PH for a while. However, it will come back and you will have to keep adding it. All you will end up doing is stressing yourself and your aquarium life and possibly killing them. I tried adjusting my pH on some fish and I ended up killing them, I was so sad and felt awful. Your best bet is to test the pH of the water you will be using and either purchase aquatic creatures that like that pH or simply adjust them to suit your water. For example my PH level is 8.0 and I have been told that Neocaridina shrimp do not like this level. I bought 6 of them anyway and slowly adjusted them to my water parameters. Now I have over a hundred of them because they multiply like rabbits. Trust me, don't try to chase after a specific PH, work with what you have.
