We used this as a wedding gift. Pasta is suitable if we tie it using a template. Almost 1.5 inch fits perfectly. Be careful, you must use tape or tape to prevent the lids from falling off the boxes. Unfortunately we were only able to use half of those boxes and struggled to get gift boxes for the other 50 sets we need for guests. The black sockets were cracked and had dangerous black plastic bits stuck inside, we didn't see them until it was too late, about half of which we had already packed away. The shipping box was ok, it was definitely a product packaging error on the part of the supplier.
