This bag looks like it will last a very long time as the material is durable woven nylon and sewn together with lots of stitches. The belt clip is made of spring steel, which is very tight on the belt and not easy to fall off. However, if one is in an environment where the case can be hooked, a belt loop is also provided, then the spring steel belt hook is inside the belt and can be felt through the pants (but only if you look like a princess and peas). The closure lid has velcro to keep it closed and it stays closed very well. The velcro is tight and won't come loose unless someone tries to undo it. This case will probably outlive my flip phone, unlike the faux leather case that fell apart on the farm in less than a year.
