Gas relief is good for lever
The plastic can expand at the ends of the handlebars that are larger than the grips, making it easier and quicker to isolate. The shape of the plastic holds up well and doesn't slip on the handles. On an off-road ride, I never had to adjust it beyond changing top speed to keep my wrist from flexing too much. Made the ride more comfortable and saved me from body tunnel issues due to a hand jam around the throttle grip.
