Review on Freshware Silicone Cupcake Cheesecake Cornbread by Kelsey Brown

Absolutely the best frying pan Popover

Updating a positive review I left on Positive Plus about a month ago! I've had the worst times in the past with pop-ups sticking (actually fused) to metal pans (Nordicware, Chicago Metallic). Crisp pans are a dream that can be both baked and washed. I brush the cups with melted butter and the popovers practically fall out of the pan when they're done. I use 2 of these pans for 18 popovers per this recipe and fill cups 1/3 full: 3 eggs, 1 cup whole milk, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 3 tbsp. melted butter and a cup of all-purpose flour; Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 40 minutes. Right after I take the pans out of the oven, I use a small sharp knife to cut a small hole in the top of each popover to let the steam out. Popovers literally come off the knife. However, remember that you must have a sturdy metal baking sheet (preferably with flat sides) under the baking sheets as they are quite flexible.

Pros
  • ✅ EASY TO CLEAN. If this is your first time using a silicone baking pan, you will never go back to metal. Our silicone cupcake liners are very easy to clean. Simply place the pans in the dishwasher or use warm soapy water and the cleaning is complete. It's that simple!
Cons
  • Don't remind me
