Bought this shaver. After years of tipping and seldom seeing well enough to work well, I broke down and bought this mirror. I connected it to a 120V mains and positioned it correctly at head height. It immediately became frighteningly clear that the supplied light bulb was completely inadequate to the point of being unusable. I replaced the branded incandescent bulb with a corncob LED, which is a huge improvement, but still not a perfect result. There is only 1 lamp socket in the mirror, so half of the ring around the mirror is illuminated by an LED lamp; better, but still needs editing. I will try to find another candelabra cartridge and insert it into the mirror body. For the price of this poorly designed thing, it's a poor value. Not enough light out of the box. Given the wide availability and very low cost of LED bulbs, Jerdon's decision to go with just an incandescent bulb smacks of greed and neglect. I'm generously giving 2 stars only because there is so little competition, making Jerdon the only show in town.
