Warms and protects against the cold. I have been complimented several times on this item and asked where I got it from. It was actually too warm to wear indoors when we had dinner in the restaurant. but at 30 degrees outside with wind it worked wonderfully! The fur lining on the scarf was GOOD! Soft and you could literally wear it all day.
