I like rubber bands and over the last few years I've had trouble finding ones I like. So I was hooked on getting these belts and trying them out. And when I wore one for the first time, I was quite positively impressed. The stretch was good and the closure and adjustment buckles were light. But when I removed the strap and untied the end, one half of the latch went all the way through the end of the strap and remained glued to the other half. It just left a small hole at the end of the belt. With some effort I managed to separate and reassemble the two halves of the clasp so I think the strap is still usable. But this level of quality control is simply unacceptable. I anticipate that this belt buckle will continue to malfunction, making the belt more difficult to wear than warranted. I love the ideas behind the belt design - the stretch, the adjustment, the ability to use a buckle or pant loops as ends. Only the quality is unsatisfactory.
