I didn't have high hopes for this belt and ordered two (Type 1 Khaki and Type 3 - Black) measuring up to 39 inches. Both had free returns so I gave it a try. I received both today and I'm thrilled! Not too wide and stretchy! I was expecting the buckles to be a bit bigger for me based on the photos but I think the models are very thin so they look different on me :) I've tried these straps with different dresses I have and me so much in love that ordered multicolored (black and white). Looks better with more office clothes. I'll definitely keep an eye on the price and order more. Note on size. I'm 5ft 5in, 160lbs, wear size 8-10, trousers/jeans size 12. Dresses due to larger bra size and straps for less than 39 inches fit on the smaller side. I wish they were a little longer.
