Screw cap. But in order for the lid to be tight enough not to leak, the mouth hole doesn't match the handle properly, making it a very awkward angle to hold the mug at to have a drink. In addition, the lid has a flap closure, not a slider. The flip top just gets in the way and you end up pressing it against your nose to drink. And if there's liquid on the rubber stopper, coffee or whatever you're drinking will end up on your nose. Stay away from this type of cover. Take a mug with a squeeze on the lid and a retractable cork. I've never had a cap press and the sliding cap is a much better design.
