Made of cotton, the material is more like a Muslim, there is insulation sewn in, but not very hot. I would say these blankets are good for chilly summer days, not winter. And the size is a bit off. The width is standard, but the length is uncomfortable. I put a photo of my other comforter over it so you can see the length. I still love these blankets, no matter the size, the fabric is lovely, they wash well, they are really comfortable, safe and look gorgeous.
