The best thing about this antenna is its size…. about 6 inches high and one inch in diameter. It's essentially a "rubber duck" style covered antenna found on a UHF walkie-talkie. The transmitter towers are 25-40 miles away, there are no hills, and it received many signals when placed on a 90 degree window sill across from the towers' line of sight. I'm sure it would work even better if mounted on a windowsill overlooking the towers. I didn't get any channels unless I was in the window, but from such a distance it's clear. The bunny ear style antenna worked better for a small number of VHF stations. If you're closer to your local towers than I am to mine, and if you have a good window position, this will work for you.
