I bought these to allow the new chairs to slide completely under my table. Space is of the essence in my apartment and the new chairs I bought have armrests that fit against the back of the table under the table top. You didn't raise it enough. I still needed to raise a few millimeters, so I bought 3 inch felt pads and stuck them into the notches on top of these risers. My new chairs now fit perfectly and the table is rock solid. Note: I've noticed that several reviewers have complained about being cracked and I believe there may be a reason for this. If your table legs have rails or worse, metal grommets, remove those first as they concentrate weight on a much smaller surface area. This can lead to cracks in the plastic. The wider the diameter of the contact area with the buoyancy, the better. Mine have a completely flat bottom so these lifts work amazingly.
