We bought these for our nine month old baby and she has been playing with them several times a day for the past five months. We keep them in a bag and it's always nice to take them out in the morning. We hide her (in plain sight) in the living room and ask her where the monkeys are and she goes and finds them. He likes to throw them up and hold them for a walk (he hasn't lost a single one yet). Now she really likes some of the same things, so that's great. We also have finger puppets from Ikea, but they're smaller and less durable, and she almost never touched them. We're not using monkeys as puppets or with a book/song yet. But we also had no problem putting our fingers in the dolls. Even though I have little fingers.
