Surprisingly comfortable, loud volume!

Well I've been using Rowkin headphones for a few years now, starting with their minis. I really liked them at the time - they were the only affordable true wireless headphones on the market. They fit well, they were easy to assemble, but the volume and battery life left a lot to be desired (mainly because of the size I think). I wanted to use them when mowing the lawn, but they just weren't loud enough. Fast forward to 2019 and Rowin has a brand new set of very competitive and well built headphones that have more volume, better sound and longer battery life. The earbuds came pre-charged and were very easy to pair - as soon as you take them out of the case, you hear a faint "pairing mode" and they're already looking for a device to befriend. They went beautifully with my Android phone and my Surface laptop. I'm amazed at how much better they sound compared to the minis - they're loud enough - they even soften a nasty lawnmower motor - I really enjoyed mowing the lawn. Race with these things! They stayed in (which is a bit of a miracle, as I seem to have oddly shaped ear canals, as many headphones don't stay in), and pausing the music with a quick double-tap on the right earbud was a breeze. I have yet to discharge the batteries to really test their capacity, but I will do so and update my review. There are a few things I would change if I could - most notably the lack of a volume control. Unless I missed something in the instructions, there's no way to adjust the volume with the buds - this has to be done on your device. Another thing is the design itself. They look like headphones from another company (you know, that fruity-named company that makes other things), but they don't fit in the ears in the same way. I thought they would "dangle" like these white in-ear headphones, but they actually bulge instead of falling down when in the ears. Doesn't matter in terms of actual usage (I think it might help with a mic for calls) but they look a bit odd protruding like that. If you value looks and sound, this might not be for you. If you can overlook a few minor things, this is a damn good buy for the price!

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
