The strength of the magnets on this product seems to depend largely on luck. I read the reviews before buying and decided to take a chance. In fact, one of the magnets immediately began to slowly slide down. I took some random unused magnets from my fridge and put them right under the 2 towel bar magnets and it solved my problem. It's been 6 months and the bar hasn't moved. I rent my apartment and my fridge is dead. The owner replaced my fridge with one without handles (which I used to hang towels on). I have limited counter space and no handles on my oven so there is little hanging space for towels/tea towels so this product is just what I needed. The distance between the rear and front rails is quite narrow, making it difficult to remove/change towels from the rear rail. I have 1 towel at the bar that I don't take off often. I can hold 3 small/medium towels/plates (folded in thirds) on the front bar. I gave it 4 stars because, despite its shortcomings, it served its purpose for the price.
