Priceless product

I've used this for so many purposes and it works so well for holding objects in place horizontally. It usually takes very little product to get the job done, meaning a pack is likely to last a long time. I have a very large, fragile, expensive glass table lamp that has an uneven bottom. However, it still sticks well to the glass table it's standing on. I have three cats (including a clumsy Berman with huge paws and a wide butt) and this lamp would have been fried without this putty. Also, the lamp is on the table just outside my back door. We have a small house and the path is so narrow it almost doesn't exist. My husband keeps banging on this lamp when grabbing our outdoor trash can for the weekly garbage pickup, hitting it (accidentally) way harder than my cats ever could. I also don't have to worry if the table the lamp is on needs to be moved. I have since used this product with every decorative item imaginable and it makes a world of difference. Whether it's a painted window sill, raw wood, a laminate countertop, a china slab, or plain old glass, items will stick equally well to whatever they're placed on. It's also absolutely necessary if you have old lamps with those separate glass balls from the base that shatter into a million pieces when knocked over. Ceiling lights can also create any form of nearby vibration. I use this to protect characters from accidents and cats. I have found that I can place things where I would have been afraid without this product, a really important feature in a small home. It also makes dusting less risky as items stay still while cleaning. However, if I want to move something, the putty can be easily peeled off and removed without leaving any residue, no matter what surface it is applied to or what object is used. Best of all, it's reusable! Simply keep the original packaging the putty came in and seal tightly to keep it flexible. Note. When they say it's not designed for vertical use, they mean it. I explained this to my soulmate, but he decided to hang a cheap, lightweight mirror on the putty anyway. For half an hour he swept the broken mirror. Regardless of how light the item is, vertical use is NOT suitable. I prefer these 3M strips that come with hooks when I need to hang something fairly light or just fasten an object that moves too much (as is usually the case with over the door storage boxes). These strips are invaluable at times when a nail is no good or a drill cannot be used to screw an item to a vertical surface. Like museum putty, this 3M product is removable.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
