Review on Flash Furniture Sit-Stand Light Gray Computer Ergonomic Desk with 37.375''W Top (Adjustable Range 29'' - 40.75'') by Donia Carey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good price for a height-adjustable desk

Easy to assemble using the same instructions as the IKEA product; but with much less detail. All tools are included except for a Phillips screwdriver. The material quality is above average. All parts are shipped clean and do not require additional cleaning to remove grease that can leave marks on surfaces. top finish is good; and the edges are gap-free and smooth. The metal base and lifting mechanism have a simple look and a strong, durable structure. I can't comment on the quality of the elevator itself as I haven't had a desk for quite some time. The airlift was a mystery to me. Would he blow up the table like an office chair? Or is it impossible to lower without sitting on it? No one. The air lift is slow and relatively weak. It prevents items on the table from falling off the table. You basically move the table manually with a mechanism. Not ideal, but usable. The minimum table height corresponds to a typical office chair in its lowest position. Whereas a fully raised table for a 5 foot person aligns 10 people at the correct arm height. This is not a one size fits all solution and there is no stopping in between. You are expected to manually raise or lower the table as needed. It wasn't a problem for me. However, the lack of presets or stops means that switching to a power adjustable table can be quite a pain. A problem that bothered me; The table makes a metallic clank when you put your hands on the edge. I traced the noise to the lifting mechanism. Noise is caused by the worktop resting on the levers; The lifting arms are located on the back of the table. As you lower your arms down, the inner tube pulls forward, causing it to collide with the outer tube. This does not happen when objects are far from the edge.
