Bought these to wear over light colored boots when working in the garden to avoid the lion's share of grass and dust on shoelaces etc and grass stains. You do everything wonderfully. They also serve to keep my pant legs closed to avoid unwanted fire ants and the like! Made from durable suede, they protect my non-leather boots and feet from accidental trimming. They're also great for welding - I like lace-up boots and they also protect the laces from burns, dust and grit. I can recommend them and would buy them again if they wear out.
