I purchased this product as part of Prime Days. Reviews were good including the fact that it is a fast charging cable. I received the item on Thursday, took the USB tip, used a Samsung outlet and charged my Samsung s10e with no issues. During the day I used the micro USB tip in my Samsung TabA and again no problem. Monday came, I needed to charge my phone, so I plugged in the cord and immediately smelled like melting. I immediately unplugged the charger, unplugged the cord and when I removed the USB tip from my phone it was very hot. I let my phone cool down for a while and in that time the battery was down to less than 10%, so I plugged my original USB-C cable into an outlet and now my phone's USB-C port isn't working. When I try to connect my cable to it, the USB-C port gets hot again. The port itself literally smells like something that has melted inside. Also, I'm afraid it has affected my battery as well. I have a Samsung wireless charger and now charging is horribly slow and my phone is overheating so I can only charge the phone a little at a time. I didn't even pay for this stupid phone - I'm pretty obsessed with the fact that I have to pay to get a new phone with new charges, all because of this 'special offer' charger. It will probably cost me $1,000 in the long run.
