I really appreciate this backpack. It looks very durable, with reinforced stitching and durable material. The backpack has two large compartments and three small outer compartments. There's also another compartment under the shoulder straps that looks like a good place for a hydration system like the Camelback. One of the large compartments has two smaller inner compartments for small items, the other one. One of the small outer compartments has a holster large enough for a small handgun if that suits the user's needs. However, the holster is secured with Velcro so it can be easily removed when not needed to make room for other items. The shoulder straps pull and loosen easily with the backpack, unlike at least one other backpack I've tried. This allows the user to tighten it tightly so it doesn't bounce or move while hiking, but at the same time makes it easier to remove the pack when the time is right. The backpack is the right size for use as an everyday backpack. It's not big enough for a long backcountry hike with food etc for a few days. On the other hand, the compact size makes it light and very convenient to carry. The backpack is available in the colors black and brown. I bought a coyote tan which is a kind of khaki. I highly recommend this color. It absorbs less heat than black and doesn't look "tactical" or signal "here's a gun". In summary, this is a well made, well designed backpack that is exactly what you need for a day hike. another short trip. I highly recommend it.
