I bought a pair but haven't used the second brush yet. I don't know what the bristles are made of, but they don't seem to wear out like plastic/nylon bristles. They are still straight after more than 2 months. Just a tip for using this and all cleaning brushes: t Press the brush firmly onto what you are cleaning. The brush works best when the bristles are only slightly curved. - Use very hot water to clean stuck food. Hot water for 2-3 minutes, but don't let the water cool down, otherwise it won't come out. - I have an Insinkerator hot water faucet which I found really great for rinsing pots/pans. "1" drop of Dawn dish soap, and this scrubbing brush will clean everything much faster with less water. -Clean the brush with a salt water solution and "a" drop of dishwashing liquid. Leave on for an hour and then drink. remove, rinse and dry Salt water kills germs.
