Review on 🩸 Scosche Rhythm+ Heart Rate Monitor Armband: Dual Band Radio ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart by Jermaine Batista

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not perfect, but great, and here's why.

I had to bet between 4 and 5 stars. I'd give this a 4-1/2 if I could. Pros: 1) Because of the RHYTHM ANT+ and Bluetooth capabilities, it will pair with pretty much anything rarely found in HRM receivers. I've tried this with my Garmin 920XT device, as well as the Moov and MapMyFitness and ZAP apps! It's in pairs. Did! Easy.2) It provides a reliable heart rate number. Maybe that's "okay, DUH," but if you've used Garmin products (or a few others that get risky on a regular basis), you know what it's like to be wondering whether to replace your HRM or see a cardiologist ) It's comfortable to wear - I don't even notice it when I'm working. If you're a woman and tired of a chest strap fighting a sports bra, this is a blessed relief. so easy and efficient. It comes with a charging dock. 5) It has a button that you can use to turn it on and off. Some might consider this an annoyance that doesn't belong in the pros category, but I'd like to know when it's on (it has a blinking LED - it's good to know it's ready to pair) and when To be able to save electricity when I want to . CONS: 1) It's my fault so really shouldn't count as RHYTHM but I'll mention it anyway: it's like a clock. I want him to read me readings like a clock on his face. When my Garmin was in repair and I linked it to the apps on my iPhone, it drove me nuts. (But I'm still grateful that I have reliable heart rate readings, despite having to check my phone.) I remember that this picks up heart rate just like a chest strap. This isn't a clock. And it's a lot better than a chest band in many ways. My apologies - perhaps this is an unreasonable request on the part of my reptilian ganglion. 2) The band is a little clunky and really becomes a sweat magnet, as other reviewers have pointed out. I don't mind it, but not a plus - and I haven't run in it in the summer heat, I'll probably start paying more attention to it from that point on. 3) Wild price swings. When I bought it less than two weeks ago, it cost $59.95. At the time of writing this article, it's $79.95. I love capitalism as much as anyone, but price gouging is not so much.
