Review on Turkish Cotton Bathrobe for Women by TowelSelections - Lingerie, Sleepwear & Loungewear for Women by Victoria Robinson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

This bathrobe is comfortable to wear and has hardly shrunk since I washed it.

I'm male, muscular, 5'6", about 178 pounds, chest 42". Sleeve length and robe length from shoulder to bottom hem. After washing and line drying the robe once, it came to about two inches below the knee and the sleeve length is perfect. I don't need to roll up my sleeves at all. I think a plus size robe would be too big for me. No further shrinkage should occur as long as I stay away from hot dryers. I bought two robes, one white and one navy blue, so one is always available while the other is in the wash. The robe I substituted was a kimono style robe with sleeves three quarters open and very loose raglan shoulders. I would say that this robe is not exactly what I would call a kimono style based on my past experience with this style but it looks exactly like the photo. That's the only reason I didn't give five stars. This robe is a little tighter on my shoulders than my previous robe, but it's still comfortable. If you use a dressing gown instead of a versatile dressing gown, you will find that this dressing gown is more fitted and has a slimmer silhouette. Even before the first wash I had no problems with the lint. I was surprised to read some reviewers who expected a thicker robe and would say it's a bit heavier than a bath towel but lighter than a really heavy warm robe. The bathrobe is the perfect weight for me. Warm enough for the cold days here in Northern California where we heat our homes year round. Any thicker terry cloth would be terrible to wash and dry. I don't spend a lot of time in a robe long enough to get rid of the chill after a shower and shave, so I didn't put it through an actual wear test. I will report any wear or shrinkage issues after additional washes and dryers. So far I'm very pleased as both robes are on sale for less than $100.
