The original fan in my car lasted 10 years before it made noise and had to be replaced. I bought this fan assembly as a replacement since it was about $25 cheaper than my local auto parts store. However, it also started making intermittent noises about five months after installation. After six months, the noise hardly changes at any fan speed and gets worse. I contacted EccppAutoParts as this item was supposed to have a one year warranty. I was asked to pay $30 (more than half of the $50 I originally paid) to have the fan assembly replaced under warranty. That would net me $80 total. This is more than a part I could buy locally with a lifetime warranty where I could just go to the store and get a replacement.
