The original seat bag hinges were made of thin plastic, similar to plastic dishes. Both original seat pocket hinges were broken and barely used for 4 years. The other side of the original's hinge broke easily when I tried to remove the cover. The originals were heated to tighten them like you've seen from the cheap disposable plastic containers used to package parts at the hardware store. I was disappointed to see this when assembling the seat. The hinges on this replacement are made from durable nylon. Details and can be easily and very firmly screwed. I don't expect to replace them for some time due to loops. They are good value for money.
